NOVA Coastal & Marine School 2010

Estoril, from 15th to 17th April

NOVA Coastal & Marine school (NCM) is an initiative of the Universidade Nova de Lisboa with the collaboration of researchers from other Universities dedicated to Coastal and Marine Sustainable Management.

Sustainable development and conservation of marine and coastal resources requires the insights of a number of disciplines ranging from the natural and physical sciences to the social sciences, economics, law and politics.

This first edition of NCM school is part of the programme of the International Conference on Coastal Conservation and Management in the Atlantic and Mediterranean (ICCCM2010), which will be held from April 11 to 14, 2010 at Estoril, Cascais (Portugal).

The course fee includes: course participation, materials and certificate. The official language of the courses is English.

Target audience

Students (MSc, PhD or Post-Doctorate) and all professionals engaged in the study, planning, design and policy making of sustainable development and conservation of marine and coastal areas, are welcome to participate in this international school.

In particular, these courses are addressed to graduate students, academics, researchers, governmental and inter-governmental officers, private and public sector technicians, policy makers and NGOs.

The courses are open to all; it is not necessary to be registered for the ICCCM10.
